Douglas Elliman · as of September 2026

Los Angeles

Josh and Matt Altman lead The Altman Brothers Team out of Douglas Elliman, one of the highest-volume luxury teams on the West Coast. The brothers, raised in Newton, Massachusetts, began flipping houses in Los Angeles on the side before turning to real estate full-time, building their early practice at Hilton & Hyland in the mid-2000s. Josh joined the cast of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” in its fourth season in 2011, later joined by Matt, giving the team a national media platform alongside its brokerage business. In 2015 the brothers moved their team to Douglas Elliman, where they signed a multiyear renewal in March 2023 after transacting more than $2.5 billion over the prior 24 months.

The team is concentrated in L.A.’s Platinum Triangle of Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and Holmby Hills, with further reach into Brentwood, Trousdale Estates, and the Hollywood Hills, and a second flagship built around Newport Beach and Orange County. Their cumulative career sales exceed $9 billion, with more than $5 billion transacted since 2021.
