Angelina Jolie sold the DeMille Estate, the 2.1-acre Laughlin Park compound Cecil B. DeMille bought in 1916 and occupied until 1959, for $24.75 million, against a $29.85 million ask and the $24.5 million she paid in 2017. Ernie Carswell of Sotheby’s International Realty and Jon Grauman of Resident Group held the listing; the buyer was not disclosed.

Russian businessman Ilya Karpov sold his 0.6-acre North Bay Road waterfront site for $72 million on 18 August 2026, having purchased it in 2022 for $20.8 million. Karpov sold the former Al Capone estate site on Palm Island the same week for a further $21 million.
