Sellers Pierre Bastid and Malou Beauvoir assembled the site from two adjacent homes purchased for a combined $24.5 million in 2011 and 2018, then carried a lengthy and contested construction through to a 19,600 square foot residence with five bedrooms and eleven bathrooms.

The sale closed $40 million below its last asking price, a gap that says less about the house than about the discipline required to sell one this scaled. The buyer took title as MI 8787 LLC.
