Chartwell, the ten-acre Bel Air estate of the late Univision chairman A. Jerrold Perenchio, sold to Lachlan Murdoch for $150 million in December 2019, at closing the highest price ever recorded for a California residence. First offered at $350 million, the estate closed at less than half its original ask. Drew Fenton represented both sides of the transaction.

Jerrold Perenchio in 1986 and expanded to more than ten acres, including the former Ronald and Nancy Reagan homesite. Sold by the Perenchio estate to Lachlan Murdoch, co-chairman of News Corp.
